Quick and easy Asian style chard recipe

Quick and easy Asian style chard recipe by Appetit Voyage
Asian Style Chard recipe
I learned this recipe from my trips to Vietnam and China where I was often served the delicious morning glory and other greens simply sautéed with garlic. I could not get tired of it! It was simple, fresh and healthy,... and delicious!

This version is a little bit healthier as I use coconut oil instead. It also really makes the difference for the taste. It gives a beautiful and nutty flavor to the chard that combined with the garlic makes you forget you are eating greens!

You can definitely change the chard for spinach, morning glories if you find them, beet leaves, kale, cabbage, lettuce, etc.... it works with all of them!

If I would had been asked to eat greens this way when I was a kid, I probably had liked much better,.... here it goes!

Ingredients for 4 persons:

- 500 gr. of fresh leafy chard
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 2 garlic clove
- 1 tsp. of soy sauce
- black pepper

1/ Clean the chard and cut the sticks if they are too long and big. Peel them a little bit to be sure you do not keep to much of the annoying fibers. Peel the garlic clove and slice.

2/ In a wok or large pan, stir-fry the chard with the coconut oil and the garlic for 5 minutes at high heat.

3/ When the leaves reduced and the sticks got golden, pour the soy sauce, stir and take out the stove.

4/ Add some black pepper and serve.

I ate them on the side, with anything else, but it will perfectly complete any meat of fish with some rice. Enjoy and let me know if you liked it!
